HAMPTON, Va (January 18, 2011) The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) partners with Getaway Magazine and Charlotte Traveler Network to produce the official fan guide and CIAA Hotel-TV channel for the 2011 CIAA Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournament in Charlotte, N.C. on Feburary 28 - March 5, 2011.
“Getaway Magazine and Charlotte Traveler Network are great resources for our fans,” says CIAA Commissioner Leon Lerry. “The CIAA is happy to partner with them this year and we look forward to buidling a long-term relationship in the years to come.”
The official fan guide will be a stand-alone publication distributed in conjunction with Getaway Magazine and will feature a full schedule of events, editorial coverage of the Tournament, information about its official ancillary events, alumni highlights/stories and conference history. The fan guide will double as a souvenir for fans expected to attend the Tournament and will showcase activites for fans to experience and destinations for fans to visit during their stay in Charlotte. The fan guide will be located at hotel properties in and around Charlotte, salons, barbershops, clothing stores and other participating local businesses.

Each year Charlotte Traveler transforms its network into an exclusive CIAA Hotel-TV channel, which features all CIAA events, activities, news and sponsors. The CIAA Hotel-TV channel will air in 45 of Charlotte’s premiere hotels, running 24-hours a day, seven days a week in the comfort of the guest’s rooms.
